5 How to Check for Disturbance in Refrigerator

Sometimes, you can immediately notice something's wrong with your refrigerator. Maybe the lights are not on, or your food is not cold enough in them.

You may wonder whether a repairman's help is needed, or you can fix the problem yourself easily. Self-checking of refrigerators can help you save on unnecessary costly repairs.

Check the Dead Fridge

1. Make sure the refrigerator power cord is properly connected.
Disconnect the cable from its plugs if necessary, and reinstall it properly. Note the damage to the refrigerator electrical wiring. Wires that are open, scratched, or bent may interfere with the function of the refrigerator. If this is the case, do not use the cable again and contact the refrigerator repairer.

2. Unplug the power cord if you are using it to connect the refrigerator power cord to the power outlet.
This connection cable may be damaged or impaired. Attach the fridge cable directly to the power outlet. If this step solves your problem, replace the broken connection cord.

3. Try other electrical appliances near the refrigerator.
Connect the equipment cable to the same power outlet as the refrigerator. If the equipment does not work, check the tension fuse in your house. Your fuse may break or the voltage drops.

4. Try to attach the refrigerator cable to the other power outlet.
If the refrigerator can be lit, the problem lies in the power outlet. Check the current and voltage with the tespen and multimeter. If you do not know how to use this equipment, contact a repairman or an electrician.

5. Try to disconnect the refrigerator cord from the power outlet for a while, then plug it in again.
This step can restore the refrigerator board settings (such as repeating the system from scratch on a computer or phone). By letting the power cut off, the refrigerator capacitor can unleash any electrical power that may remain.

Check the Uncooled Refrigerator

How to Check for Disturbance in Refrigerator
1. Check the temperature control in the refrigerator.
If the button is depressed, the temperature of the refrigerator may turn out to be too warm, so that the refrigerator cooling machine is not lit. You need to check the temperature setting of the refrigerator and freezer, because the refrigerator gets the cold temperature from the freezer. Disturbance in freezer temperature settings will affect the temperature of the refrigerator as well

The temperature of the refrigerator should be set in the 3-4ºC range, while the freezer temperature is between -15 to -18ºC

2. Make sure the airflow around the refrigerator is smooth.
Check the distance between the wall and the refrigerator. Preferably the gap between the wall and the side of the refrigerator is 7.6 cm, and 2.5 cm at the top. This gap allows air to flow smoothly so your refrigerator can function properly.

3. Clean the condenser coil with a vacuum cleaner or brush. It is this part that helps to release heat that might cause interference to your refrigerator. You must turn off the refrigerator when cleaning the condenser coil. It is recommended to clean the coil on the back of the refrigerator once a year, and the coil on the bottom of the refrigerator twice a year

4. Check the refrigerator refrigeration engine that passes hot and burns continuously. Disconnect the refrigerator cable from the power outlet for 2 hours, then plug it in again. If your refrigerator starts to function normally, the refrigerator compressor machine may be overheated and should be checked by the repairman. Use a multimeter to check every component of the compressor engine that is on continuously. The components examined include temperature control, evaporative fan, ice melt timers, overload protection, and compressor motors.

You may need to read the user manual to locate the components. If a component is on continuously, you should replace it with a new one.

Check out the Less Cool Refrigerators

Disturbance in freezer temperature settings will affect the temperature of the refrigerator as well.

The temperature of the refrigerator should be set in the 3-4ºC range, while the freezer temperature is between -15 to -18ºC

2. Check the air vents of the refrigerator.
Check the air vents between the freezer and the refrigerator and sewer and ice. Remove clogged dirt if necessary. This blockage may be the cause of the interference in the refrigerator

3. Check the refrigerator door density.
Place a piece of paper between the crack of the refrigerator door. Close the refrigerator and pull the paper. The paper should be suspended if the refrigerator is tightly closed.
Repeat this step around the entire door of the refrigerator. If the paper is not stuck in certain parts, the refrigerator door grip is loose, you should check for the cracks and the rigidity that caused it.

4. Check the refrigerator components.
Use a multimeter to check the components of the refrigerator that are burning continuously. The inspected components include a door switch, ice thaw and timer, and a vaporizer fan. If one of these components is damaged, that may be the cause of the disturbance in your refrigerator.

Checking Fridge Engine is On Persistently

1. Wait a day to see if the interruption can subside by itself.
Some factors can cause your refrigerator to ignite continuously. If you live in a humid area, just refilled the refrigerator, or just changed the temperature, your refrigerator may take a while to cool down the entire section. The time required may be 24 hours or even more.

2. Liquid ice in the freezer if there are too many piles of ice and clean the coil of condenser.
If you pile the dirt in your condenser coil, its efficiency in releasing the heat will drop, so that the refrigerator refrigerant will be constantly on. If the ice melting process is interrupted, the evaporative coil will freeze, and the refrigerator machine will work harder to cool its contents.

3. Check the refrigerator door density.
Your refrigerator door has a rubber coating that prevents cold air from escaping. If this layer is damaged, your refrigerator should constantly cool its contents. Use a piece of paper to examine the sagging door rubber parts. Place the paper in the door slot, then close the refrigerator door. Your paper should be suspended when pulled, but if not restrained, damage to the refrigerator door gate may be the source of the problem. Repeat this check around the refrigerator door.

4. Clean the condenser coil with a vacuum cleaner or brush.
It is this part that helps to release heat, and if it is too dirty, the refrigerator must work harder to maintain its temperature. This cleaning should be done when the refrigerator is off. You should clean the coils behind the refrigerator once a year, and coil in the bottom of the refrigerator twice a year.

5. Check the components of the refrigerator that burns continuously.
To check for some fridge components, you need a multimeter. Components to be examined include: condenser fan, overload protector, and compressor and motor carrier. Interference on one of these components can cause problems in the refrigeration cooling cycle.

6. Check the power supply voltage.
Use a multimeter to check the voltage of the power plug used by the refrigerator. Only do this step if appropriate equipment and safety are available. The voltage on the power outlet should be 108-121 volts.

Determining the Cause of Refrigeration Leaks

1. Check the shelter and the drains.
Stagnant water outside the refrigerator may be caused by a dirty water reservoir. Your refrigerator water shelter should be cleaned about once a year. Stagnant water in the refrigerator can be caused by a clogged drain. Clean the clogged drains by inserting aqueous solution and baking soda, or bleach into the canal using a syringe.
Your refrigerator should be turned off before you try to clean the shelters and drains.

2. Flatten the refrigerator high.
If the refrigerator does not stand flat, the door may not close tightly, and the ice melt channel may leak. Refrigerators are designed to function normally in an equally flat position. Remove the refrigerator from the power outlet, then place the flat cover on top. Check the front and back of the refrigerator, then adjust the height of the legs until the cover is above the refrigerator equally.

3. Check the refrigerator water filter.
If the refrigerator water filter is not installed properly, the water in it can come out. After removing the refrigerator cord from the power outlet, remove the water filter and then plug it in again. Check also if there is a crack in the head and the filter frame. If there is damage, your head or filter frame may have to be replaced.
